CHATEAU VAGUELAS LE PRIEURE
The grapes in the Le Prieure are de-stemmed and crushed, followed by fermentation under strictly controlled temperatures, with long skin maceration for maximum color and aromatic intensity. The wine is then matured in oak barrels for 9-12 months.
A wine that is dominated by grenache and Cariganan, two complementary and supremely fruity grape varieties, blended with Syrah which always achieves maximum maturity on this unique gravel soil, offering aromas of spice and garrigue herbs.
This partially barrel aged wine is gleaming garnet red with ruby highlights. Aromas of red berries and cherries complement soft notes of vanilla and licorice. Full-bodied with good balance, well refined, elegant tannins that underpin a superb smoothness.
